i knew a girl with two grazed knees -

And I like her, yeah I like her, because perfection screams.

So I got tagged by Libby of FASHIONconfectionary, who tagged everybody. I really like stuff like this, so whoo, lets have some fun. She's fabulous by the way, go check out her amazing blog if you haven't read it.

1. My Heart in a picture.

Those are some pictures I took, one of those little heart yummy candies, and one of these bells I took on a cruise with my cousin Lewa - who's a sort of co-blogger on FASHIONconfectionary.

2. My Heart in a poem.

Wanderer

Looking past the riverbed,

Or walking past the creek,

I have always been a wander'r,

Never finding what I seek.

It changes every time I say it, but I wrote that in second grade, and I really, really like it. It won the coveted poetry award. Yeah, I was just an awesome second grader, you know it.

3. Your Heart in a song: Shape of My Heart.

Oh when I look to the shape of my heart,
it's seperated only by scars,
that cut in and cut out, or leave me without,
all a heart that functions a
t all.

And when I look to the shape of the sky,
I give thanks for this hollow chest of mine,
that I no longer feel, the great weight of ordeals,
that can make this life so unkind

If there's any love in
me, don't let it show,

oh and if there's any love in me, don't let it grow

Oh when the wild was all covered by snow,
I forgot the colours that the grass tend to glow,
Oh the trees were all leafless, and lifeless and black,
and I wondered if the leaves could grow back

For your heart is like
 a forest, it grows,

and its the rain, but just the sun that lets it bloom,
and you don't know how it feels to be alive,
until you know how it feels to die

If there's any love in me, don't let it show,
oh and if there's any love in me, don't let it grow
If there's any love in me, don't let it show,
oh and if there's any love in me, don't let it grow.

Shape of My Heart - Noah And The Whale.

4. Your Heart in a quote.

"Earth's crammed with heaven." - Elizabeth Browning & "Be happy. It's a way of being wise."  - Cynthia Nelms.

5. Your Heart's favorite item of clothing; a pair of heels to go with any outfit or maybe the perfect skirt.

Like these Louboutin heels, this skate skirt or maybe this skirt. Or basically any other Anthropologie skirt.

6. You Heart's Place: Roma.

I used to live there, a long, long time ago. And remembering it just makes me happy - everything there is so fll of sunshine and so pretty. The architecture, the language, the people, the flowers, the food, the gelato (I always used to order Galak y Fragoli, white chocolate and strawberry. yummm.), the sunshine - which is warmer, more full of honey, than anywhere else - the friends, everything. I love it. Plus Roma is Amor backwards, which means love.

Speaking of which - had a funny dream about Rome yesterday. But my dreams are always super long and hard to relate.

7. Your Heart's favorite Disney Princess; Belle.

I used to love Ariel - she has red hair, just like me. But then I decided that she was kind of greedy - I have all of this stuff, but I'm not happy and I want more. And then I went through a whole Cinderella thing, but I realized that she didn't really do all that much. Okay so she works kind of hard, befriends some animals and then poof! A fairy godmother shows up to fix everything for her? Where's my fairy godmother. So I didn't like that unrealism-y-ness. And Snow White was out of the question - first, I don't go for the whole, pale, caught-of-guard beauty. Second, she goes to these dwarfs house, right? And then she cleans and fixes up their house, which they don't want her to do in the first place. She uses their bed and expects them to feed her. The one thing they ask her to do - don't let strangers in - she screws up. She was an idiot and let in the queen and it was her fault she half died. And then when her prince charming comes along, she up and abandons the ones who were always there for her - the dwarves. There was always Sleeping Beauty, but she didn't do anything either, and she was kind of an idiot. Why'd she prick her finger, anyway. (Personally, I like the prince charming type better. They have good heads on their shoulders, and actually understand how to go about saving someone. Mostly the princesses just sit there and whine.) I like Jasmine, though, because she didn't like people because they were rich. But Belle was definitely my favorite - she was sweet and pretty and looked past appearances.

And I tag everyone who takes the time to read this - you're making my life worthwhile, so thanks.

song - firetruck, by the all new adventures of us. (one of my favorite songs right now...)

so here's the lyrics to that, because i'm in love with them: (my favorite lines are bold.)

I'm a cable-car, you shake the wires I hang off
And the games you play, it's not just you they're doing wrong
People fall to their demise, but you and I, we're doing fine
So I guess that's fine

And I left you sleeping with an address by your bed
'Cause no one writes real letters anymore, oh, oh
Hey firetruck, dim your lights
The red paint peeled off
Underneath was blue all along
You could have picked a lighter shade

I know a girl with two grazed knees and I like her
Yeah, I like her
'Cause perfection screams a lack of adventure
I swear I'll never miss an adventure
So say you'll never miss an adventure

At best we're amateur cartographers and terrible photographers
I'll hang these maps on your wall
And I'll just spin and point to find the best path to follow
We'll never miss an adventure, we won't

And I left you sleeping with an address by your bed
'Cause no one writes real letters anymore, oh, oh
Hey firetruck, shut your eyes
'Cause you and I, we're doing fine
To me that's fine

I had this dream we ran so far
We forgot where we'd come from
But a dream is, well, a dream
This ******* town is part of me

For the sake of poetry, our paperbacks are worn
Friends fix them up so we wear them more
It's hotel beds and ******
(So into the fire)
If I can tell you one thing
(Into the fire)
It's that I didn't learn any
(So into the fire)
Except to go easy on myself
(Into the fire)
And I'll be repaid with a constant heartbeat
(Into the fire)
(So into the fire)
(Into the fire)

The time has come to run
I wrote a speech and then I wrote it off
So into the fire.
