just steam coming off of the road -

Today, we watched Michael Jackson's funeral. I'm with my cousins in Wenatchee - whom I have invited to join the blog. (Lewa, one of my cousins, is the manager of FASHIONconfectionary.) After our adventures in Seattle - we went to the zoo, the Seattle Center and had some fabulous photo shoots.

I almost cried when his daughter spoke - though I've never been a fan, I thought it was so sweet.

So I was reading the Teen Vogue article on Emma Watson - "Emma Enchanted." And I really like her style - at least the clothes she's wearing here are gorgeous. Not only that, but she seems really down to earth. She says that she doesn't want to continue acting unless something comes along that she feels strongly about. I think that it would be difficult to start acting at a young age. You don't know that you want to act, but then you're sucked into it, paparazzi and all. Oh, I also liked what she said about fashion: "There's nothing interesting about looking perfect—you lose the point. You want what you're wearing to say something about you, about who you are."

your swaying hips and candied lips -

XOXO, Etsy

Not only are these earrings adorable, but if you sign this petition, you'll help out some birds, too. Plus, they're cheap!

Peaches4me, the seller, is also selling some fabulous necklaces. For example:

I'm in love with Etsy right now, everything is so fantastic! Plus, unlike big stores, no one else will be wearing your jewelry.
