first, I've suddenly gotten interested in the sixties and seventies. I've always thought the sixties to be iconic in fashion history, but the seventies weren't so spectacular. now, though, I've taken inspiration from these decades and their crazy, but still cute, outfits. I'm just in love with these decades right now!
In the sixties, young people finally began to have an influence on fashion. Parisian designers, haute couture, soft classics, like the floppy hat in the third image, roots of go-go, twist on the fifties, worldly styles and mass production, all rebelled against rules and gender associations.
70s:
I love the go-go boots, with their classy yet funky kind of look.
not only that, but I'm also very into the song boats and birds right now, by gregory and the hawk.
I don't know why, but I feel like this song really speaks to me. okay, obviously it wasn't written for me, though that would be amazing. but it's got such beautiful lyrics and an amazing melody and I just love it.
finally, I'm really into hippie headbands right now. though they look awful on me (my head shape just doesn't work with it, too bad) they look gorgeous on models! I think they're just so carefree and happy-go-lucky, but still classic and romantic.
